Task 2: Supporting Classroom Management Techniques

1. Classroom Rules:

‘Reframing Classroom Rules’ :
Classroom Rules
Reframe using Positive language
Opportunities to teach these rules
Don't move in the classroom
Don't make the palce dirty.
Don't hurt your friends
Don't make noise
Don't talk without permission
Sit Properly
Keep the class clean and tidy
Be kind and helpful
Speak quietly
Raise your hand
Teacher praises children who are following this rule
Teacher sings song for cleaning up the place after finishing any work.
The teacher asks the children to think about what might happen if this rule is not followed.
Teacher uses a bell if the students making noise and talking too much.
Teacher responds for those who are following the rules and praises them.

2. Behavioural Characteristics

I noticed that students have been organised in 3 groups according to their levels (High-Low). Low level group is beside teacher's desk and the other two are in different sides. However, I have recorded the general behavioral features of the students according to how they have been distributed in the classroom. In general, there were no challenged bahaviors in this section. The majority were behaving in good mannar. Talking, moving around and not listening to the teacher were the most unpleasant behaviors that frequently happened during the class. Nevertheless, teacher do simple techniches but they are considerably effective. The children respond to the used strategies immediately. Hence, the teacher has no big challenged behaviors in this section to be prevented at all.
I illustrated how students behave during class using the above chart  to show that each group is connected to another and they can affect the general behaviors and how smooth is the classroom flow.
